Our Story

Established in 1972, the James Cook Hotel is a Wellington city icon and one of New Zealand’s first international hotels. The property joined the Hotel Grand Chancellor Group in the early 2000’s when the parent company, Grand Hotels International, first entered the New Zealand market. The Hotel is ideally positioned on The Terrace in close proximity to the business and government district.
